Model: PT-1000 BP Skid
The National Foam balance-pressure foam trailer is a unit ideally suited to roll to sites where foam is needed in order to combat flammable liquids fires. It is self-contained and has the capability to discharge up to 2,000 gallons per minute (gpm) at 150 psi, of either 3 or 6% foam solution. It works with either potable water or salt water.
The unit consists of a skid containing 1,000 gallons high density polyethylene tank for foam concentrate with level gauges, PVV valve, a motor-operated positive displacement foam pump (brass shell) stainless shaft; air cooled diesel DEUTZ engine. Foam discharge capacity: 2,000 gpm.
Water inlets: 4 “ M NH, one at each side at the front of the trailer. Caps.
Foam solution discharges: Four 2 ½” NST, with chromed caps and chains. Two on each side of the rear of the trailer. One 4” frontal discharge. All 2 ½” discharges have a 3%/6% proportioner installed, which allow to have different % proportions at different outlets, simultaneously.
Foam concentrate suction: one 2 ½” with ¼-turn valve. By-pass manual valve in order to override the diaphragm valve, if necessary
All the connecting piping.
Hose beds on each side of the trailer. Capacity: 400 ft of 2 ½” and 400 ft of 1 ½” (not supplied)
Instrument panel with double pressure gauges. Capacity to flush foam solution. Automatic starter. Ampmeter for the battery and electrical system.
The chassis is made for 18,000 lbs, is built up of four steel beams electrically welded. Two tubular axels, 9000 lbs each. Four suspension spings. Four radial tires. Mudguards. Towing hitch; chains. Electric breaks (drum type) auto-adjustable. Traffic lights in compliance with State regulations.
